Get up to 75% off EV charging for state-funded schools

State-funded schools are now eligible for an EV charging grant, offering workplace and visitor charging for your teachers and support staff. We’re already working with schools across the country to future-proof their sites and aid in the transition to Net Zero, so let us help you too.

What is the grant?

Why do you need EV charging at your school site?

With mounting pressure to work towards Net Zero, offering onsite EV charging is a great way to demonstrate a reduction in carbon emissions. At Pod Point, we’ll also install passive charging spaces, essentially allowing you to future-proof your site in case you need more charging options later.

How to check if you're eligible?

This grant is designed for state funded schools and education institutions to support the installation of EV chargers. To check if you're eligible please visit the government website.

The workplace charging scheme for state funded institutions offers up to 75% off the cost of purchase and installation of an EV charger up to a maximum of:

  • £2,500 per socket
  • 40 sockets per school

How can Pod Point help?

We’ll work with you to understand budget restrictions and your school's requirements, enabling us to support you in the best way. We'll also complete your site survey and manage the installation process on your behalf.

We’ll provide access to our back-office system, Site Management Service, enabling you to monitor usage, carbon reduction, restrict access, and set tariffs.

We recently worked with an academy in Newcastle to install 4 x Twin 7kW chargers, allowing the school to save up to £20,000.

Let's start working towards your Net Zero targets

Installing EV chargers at your school sites can help you meet your ESG goals, while promoting workplace charging for your staff. As educational settings, you're tasked with one of the hardest jobs of all, setting the sustainability example for generations to come. So, let us work with you to achieve your goals.
